A redesigned 12-inch MacBook unveiled by Apple and it is lighter and thinner than 11-inch MacBook Air. The ultra-thin retina display is the utmost feature of this model. With a high resolution of 2304 X 1440 pixels it becomes easy for the user to read and work on it. The text looks sharper and the colours have vibrancy. It is very thin as the width is just 0.51 inches and weighs 2 pounds. The looks are impressive as it has aluminium chassis and is available in three different colours: silver, gold and grey.
This MacBook is fan free and is powered by an Intel Core M processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage. There is a track pad called Force Touch track pad and it operates as per the amount of pressure you are putting on it. The battery life is improved and Apple claims this device as an “all-day battery life” serving nine hours for web browsing.
The keyboard is 12 inches and the keys are designed as per a new butterfly mechanism which according to Apple is more stable and works in a better way when one presses the key. Stainless steel has replaced the Silicone in Apple’s new dome switches.
The starting range of laptop is $1,299. It has only a USB-C connection as compared to the earlier 11-inch Air which has two USB ports. This single port serves many purposes which include charging of the MacBook, transferring data, HDMI and VGA capabilities.
